Over recent years there has been a steady increase in the number of Apprenticeship starts eg. from 2005/06 when there were 175,000 to 279,000 last year. Provisional figures suggest we will hit 442,700 starts this year (2010/11) made up as follows:
- 292,700 students commenced an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
- 147,900 students commenced an Advanced Level Apprenticeship
- 2,100 students commenced a Higher Level Apprenticeship
Provisional figures for 2010/11 also suggest that during the year:
- 119,700 achieved an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
- 61,100 achieved an Advanced Level Apprenticeship
- 900 achieved a Higher Level Apprenticeship
